From funds under its jurisdiction the legislative body may authorize payment to the trust of amounts equaling all or any portion of the moneys necessary to fund any pension trust established pursuant to this article. The legislative body may also authorize payment of amounts to cover the reasonable expenses of the administration of the trust. Such expenditures are charges against the funds of the agency making them.(Amended by Stats. 1975, Ch. 29.)
