If the legislative body grants permission for the construction and maintenance of sewers, it may require as a condition that it may connect its sewers with those constructed under permission and use them in connection with its sewer system upon paying a proportionate part of the cost of constructing and maintaining them to the local agency constructing them.(Added by Stats. 1949, Ch. 81.)
