Under the terms prescribed by its legislative body a city or sanitary district may permit a local agency to construct and maintain conduits and lines in, along, or across its streets and other public places and to use them for such purpose pursuant to this chapter and not otherwise.(Added by Stats. 1949, Ch. 81.)
