§ 65852.6

65852.6. (a) It is the policy of the state to permit breeding and the maintaining of homing pigeons consistent with the preservation of public health and safety. (b) For purposes of this section, a 'homing pigeon,' sometimes referred to as a racing pigeon, is a bird of the order Columbae. It does not fall in the category of 'fowl' which includes chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and other domesticated birds other than pigeons.(Amended by Stats. 1991, Ch. 1091, Sec. 63.)
