(a) The municipal and superior courts in a county shall be unified on a majority vote of superior court judges and a majority vote of municipal court judges in the county, pursuant to the procedures provided in this article.(b) The vote shall be conducted by the Judicial Council or, if authorized by the Judicial Council, the county’s registrar of voters.(c) The Judicial Council may adopt rules not inconsistent with this article for the conduct of the vote, including but not limited to rules governing the frequency of vote calls, manner of voting, duration of the voting period, and selection of the operative date of unification.(Repealed and added by Stats. 1998, Ch. 931, Sec. 257.
