70044.1. In any county having a population of over 250,000 and under 277,000, as determined by the 1950 federal census, the fee for reporting testimony and proceedings in contested cases is thirty-five dollars ($35) a day, and the fee for reporting each default or uncontested action or proceeding is seven dollars ($7).The official reporter shall report to the court when ordered to do so by any judge of the court, and when not ordered to so report, the reporter may be employed in his professional capacity elsewhere.(Added by Stats. 1961, Ch. 105.)
