A candidate for state elective office may return all or part of any contribution to the donor who made the contribution at any time, whether or not other contributions are returned, except a contribution that the candidate for state elective office made to that candidate’s own controlled committee.(Amended by Stats. 2021, Ch. 50, Sec. 174.
