254. There shall be kept in every small boat a good and suitable pair of oars. In the night-time a signal, by means of a horn or trumpet, shall be given to the steam vessel from the small boat, when having landed or received its passengers, it is ready to leave the shore.(Enacted by Stats. 1937, Ch. 368.)
