6231. The board of supervisors shall canvass the results of the election and if a majority of those voting have voted 'yes' the proposition is carried, and the board of supervisors shall certify the result to the Secretary of State, who shall file it. From and after the filing of the certificate by the Secretary of State, the district is in existence.(Enacted by Stats. 1937, Ch. 368.)
