Ordinances may be enacted by and for any district by initiative in the same manner and with the same effect as ordinances of counties under Article 1 (commencing at Section 9100) of Chapter 2 of Division 9 of the Elections Code and the terms used therein shall have the following meanings:(a) 'County' shall mean district.(b) 'Board of supervisors' shall mean board.(c) 'Elections official' shall mean secretary.(Amended by Stats. 1994, Ch. 923, Sec. 116.
