102280. In other areas, the State Registrar shall appoint a local registrar of births and deaths for each registration district, whose term of office shall be four years. The State Registrar may remove such appointee forthwith for failure or neglect to perform his or her duty.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 415, Sec. 4. Effective January 1, 1996.)
