§ 106680

106680. The terms of the members of the committee first appointed shall be determined by lot and shall expire as follows: two members on January 1, 1985; two members on January 1, 1986; three members on January 1, 1987; and three members on January 1, 1988. Thereafter, appointments shall be for a four-year term. Committee members may serve no more than two successive terms. Each member shall serve on the committee until the appointment and qualification of his or her successor or until one year shall have elapsed since the expiration of the term for which he or she was appointed, whichever occurs first. Vacancies occurring prior to the expiration of the terms shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term. The director, upon the recommendation of the committee by a two-thirds vote, may remove an appointee member for misconduct in office, incompetency, neglect of duty, or other sufficient cause after due notice and hearing.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 415, Sec. 6.
