§ 1-13-5-102

(1) This article applies only to nonpartisan elections not coordinated by county clerk and recorders that are conducted by a local government; except that nothing prohibits the governing body of a local government from utilizing any requirements and procedures of the 'Uniform Election Code of 1992', articles 1 to 13 of this title, in accordance with section 1-13.5-106.(2) It is the general assembly's intent that the 'Uniform Election Code of 1992' continue to govern coordinated elections.Added by 2014 Ch. 2, § 6, eff. 2/18/2014.L. 2014: Entire article added, (HB 14-1164), ch. 2, p. 5, § 6, effective February 18.
