Colorado Legal Code
Any vacancy in a nomination for an unaffiliated candidate caused by the declination, death, disqualification, or withdrawal of any person nominated by petition or statement of intent occurring after the filing of the petition for nomination and no later than seventy days before the general or congressional vacancy election may be filled by the person or persons designated on the petition or statement of intent to fill vacancies.Amended by 2022 Ch. 421, § 2, eff. 8/10/2022.Added by 2017 Ch. 234, § 5, eff. 8/9/2017 (formerly 1-4-1002(4).L. 2017: Entire part amended with relocated provisions, (SB 17-209), ch. 234, p. 960, § 5, effective August 9.This section is similar to former § 1-4-1002 (4) as it existed prior to 2017. 2022 Ch. 421, was passed without a safety clause.
