Colorado Legal Code
(1) Unless licensed to practice dentistry, a person who performs any of the following tasks under the supervision of a licensed dentist is deemed to be practicing supervised dental hygiene: (a) Performing a task described in section 12-220-503 (1); (b) Preparing study casts;(c) Administering local anesthesia under the indirect supervision of a licensed dentist pursuant to rules of the board, including minimum education requirements and procedures for local anesthesia administration; or(d) Placing interim therapeutic restorations pursuant to section 12-220-505.(e) Repealed.Amended by 2021 Ch. 31, § 7, eff. 9/1/2021.Renumbered from C.R.S. § 12-220-123 and amended by 2020 Ch. 64, § 1, eff. 9/14/2020.Renumbered from C.R.S. § 12-35-125 and amended by 2019 Ch. 136, § 1, eff. 10/1/2019.Amended by 2018 Ch. 67, § 2, eff. 3/22/2018.Amended by 2015 Ch. 326, § 2, eff. 8/5/2015.Amended by 2014 Ch. 363, § 29, eff. 7/1/2014.This section is similar to former § 12-220-123 as it existed prior to 2020.
