When any judgment becomes a lien and the defendant dies before execution is issued thereon, the remedy of the person in whose favor the judgment has been rendered shall not be delayed nor suspended by reason of the nonage of any heir of such defendant. No execution shall issue upon such judgment until the expiration of one year after the death of the defendant, nor shall any law of this state which gives no preference to the claims of a creditor of a deceased debtor be so construed as to impair or affect the lien of any judgment.R.S. p. 371, § 2.
