Section 14-13-309 - Service of petition and order

Except as otherwise provided in section 14-13-311, the petition and order must be served, by any method authorized by the law of this state, upon respondent and any person who has physical custody of the child.L. 2000: Entire article R&RE, p. 1535, § 1, effective July 1.OFFICIAL COMMENTIn keeping with other sections of this Act, the question of how the petition and order should be served is left to local law.
