A correctional security officer employed by the Colorado mental health institute at Pueblo is a peace officer while engaged in the performance of his or her duties as provided in article 7 of title 24, C.R.S., and whose authority shall include the enforcement of all laws of the state of Colorado, and who may be certified by the P.O.S.T. board.L. 2003: Entire article added, p. 1612, § 2, effective August 6.
