Section 18-5-304 - False statements as to circulation

It is a civil infraction for any person engaged in the publication of any newspaper, magazine, periodical, or other advertising medium published in the state of Colorado or for any employee of any such publisher knowingly to make any statement concerning the circulation of the newspaper, magazine, periodical, or other advertising medium which is untrue or misleading where such publisher fixes his charges for advertising space in the publication on the amount of its circulation.Amended by 2021 Ch. 462, § 241, eff. 3/1/2022.L. 71: R&RE, p. 442, § 1. L. 2021: Entire section amended, (SB 21-271), ch. 3186, p. 3186, § 241, effective 3/1/2022.Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022. 2021 Ch. 462, was passed without a safety clause. See Colo. Const. art. V, § 1(3).
