Any person who deposits goods to which the person does not have title, or upon which there is a security interest in personal property, as security interest is defined in section 4-1-201(b)(35), C.R.S., and who takes for such goods a negotiable receipt that the person afterwards negotiates for value with intent to deceive and without disclosing the person's want of title or the existence of such security interest, commits a class 2 misdemeanor.L. 71: R&RE, p. 446, § 1.
