As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:(1) 'Agent' means any person duly authorized by an officer or employee to perform an act within the course of his service or employment.(2) 'Employee' means any employee of the state or its governmental subdivisions.(3) 'Officer' means any elected or appointed public official.(4) 'State' means any agency or department of the state of Colorado, a county, or a city and county.L. 62: p. 177, § 1.
