(1) The general assembly hereby finds and declares that the implementation of the federal 'Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986', 42 U.S.C. sec. 11001 et seq., Title III of the federal 'Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986', Pub.L. 99-499, is a matter of statewide concern.(2) The department of public safety is the state agency responsible for the implementation of the federal 'Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986', 42 U.S.C. sec. 11001 et seq., Title III of the federal 'Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986', Pub.L. 99-499, and regulations thereunder, as amended.L. 2012: Entire part RC&RE with relocations, (HB 12-1283), ch. 240, p. 1115, § 17, effective July 1.This section is similar to former § 24-32-2601 as it existed prior to 2012.
