As the director deems necessary for the protection of firefighters and others using any self-contained breathing apparatus, the director may promulgate rules to establish and enforce standards for the inspection, certification, and use of the apparatus. The rules must incorporate or recognize current DOT or NIOSH standards for certification and recertification of pressure vessels with regard to any technology that is accepted by those federal agencies.Added by 2019 Ch. 215,§ 2, eff. 8/2/2019.L. 2019: Entire part added, (SB 19-061), ch. 2233, p. 2233, § 2, effective August 2.
