Section 25-10-102 - Legislative declaration

(1) The general assembly declares it to be in the public interest to establish minimum standards and rules for on-site wastewater treatment systems in the state and to provide the authority for the administration and enforcement of those minimum standards and rules:(a) To preserve the environment and protect the public health and water quality;(b) To eliminate and control causes of disease, infection, and aerosol contamination; and(c) To reduce and control the pollution of the air, land, and water.L. 97: Entire article amended with relocations, p. 122, § 1, effective July 1.
