Section 29-4-113 - Form of bonds - rate of interest

(1) The bonds of the city shall be issued in one or more series and shall bear such dates, bear interest at such rates, be in such denominations which may be made interchangeable, be in such form, either coupon or registered, carry such registration privileges, be executed in such manner, be payable in such medium of payment and at such places, and be subject to such terms and redemption, with or without premium, as the council by resolution or its trust indenture or mortgage may provide. The bonds authorized to be issued by this part 1 shall be sold at public sale held after notice of such sale published once at least ten days prior to such sale in a newspaper circulating in the city, if there is one, and in a financial newspaper published in the city of San Francisco, California, or in the city of Chicago, Illinois; except that such bonds may be sold to the federal government at private sale without any public advertisement. The bonds may be sold in such blocks as the council may by resolution determine, but no bonds shall be sold at less than par.
