Section 31-23-309 - Conflict with other laws

When the regulations made under authority of this part 3 require a greater width or size of yards or courts, or require a lower height of building or a less number of stories, or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied, or impose higher standards than are required in any other statute or local ordinance or regulation, the provisions of the regulations made under authority of this part 3 shall govern. Wherever the provisions of any other statute, local ordinance, or regulation require a greater width or size of yards or courts, or require a lower height of building or a less number of stories, or require a greater percentage of lot to be left unoccupied, or impose higher standards than are required by the regulations made under authority of this part 3, the provisions of such statute or local ordinance or regulation shall govern.L. 75: Entire title R&RE, p. 1158, § 1, effective July 1.This section is similar to former § 31-23-209 as it existed prior to 1975.
