(1) In a county improvement district, the board must consist of the following members: (a) One county commissioner of the county in which the district is located for a term equal to the commissioner's tenure as county commissioner;(b) The county treasurer for a term equal to the treasurer's tenure with the county;(c) Three residents of the county obligated to pay real or personal property taxes who are appointed by the county commissioners for staggered terms determined by the county commissioners; and(d) Two fire department members for two-year terms.(2) The treasurer of the fund shall obtain a bond paid from the fund in an amount determined by the board.L. 95: Entire part added, p. 1366, § 2, effective June 5.
