Section 33-15-108 - Littering

(1) It is unlawful for any person to litter any land or water under the control of the division. Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2) of this section, any person who violates this section commits a petty offense.(2) Any person who throws, drops, or otherwise expels a lighted cigarette, cigar, match, or other burning material from a motor vehicle upon land under the control of the division commits a class 2 misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in section 18-1.3-501.Amended by 2021 Ch. 462, § 600, eff. 3/1/2022.Amended by 2019 Ch. 390, § 47, eff. 8/2/2019.L. 84: Entire article added, p. 916, § 2, effective 1/1/1985.
