In furtherance of such objects the board shall proceed in accordance with the irrigation laws of the state, insofar as the same are applicable, and may, if it elects, also proceed under the laws of the United States relating to the acquisition of such rights or easements over the public lands of the United States.L. 13: p. 588, § 3.
