Section 37-90-117 - Water conservation board - duties

The Colorado water conservation board has the power, and it is its duty, to investigate and determine the nature and extent of the groundwater resources of the state of Colorado. It is also the duty of said board to study and determine the effect, if any, of the withdrawal of groundwater upon aquifer supply and upon the surface flow of streams, and the information obtained thereby shall be made available to the state engineer and the ground water commission and any designated ground water management district. Nothing in this section shall be construed as impairing the authority of the state engineer, the ground water commission, or any ground water management district to make such investigation as it may find necessary or desirable to enable it to perform its duties under this article.L. 65: R&RE, p. 1257, § 1.
