Section 38-13-903 - Claim for property by person claiming to be owner

(1) A person claiming to be the owner of property held by the administrator under this article 13 may file a claim for the property on a form prescribed by the administrator.(2) The administrator may waive the requirement in subsection (1) of this section and may pay or deliver property directly to a person if: (a) The person receiving the property or payment is shown to be the apparent owner included on a report filed under section 38-13-401; and(b) The administrator reasonably believes the person is entitled to receive the property or payment.Entire article repealed and reenacted with amendments by 2019 Ch. 110, § 1, eff. 7/1/2020.L. 2019: Entire article R&RE, (SB 19 -088), ch. 443, p. 443, § 1, effective 7/1/2020.
