Colorado Legal Code
(1) Every person operating a motorcycle or autocycle shall be granted all of the rights and is subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of any other vehicle under this article 4, except as to special regulations in this article 4 and except as to those provisions of this article 4 that by their nature are not applicable.(2) For the purposes of a prearranged, organized special event and upon a showing that safety will be reasonably maintained, the department of transportation may grant a special permit exempting the operation of a motorcycle or autocycle from any requirement of this part 15.Amended by 2022 Ch. 361, § 25, eff. 1/1/2023.L. 94: Entire title amended with relocations, p. 2398, § 1, effective 1/1/1995.This section is similar to former § 42-4-1301 as it existed prior to 1994, and the former § 42-4-1501 was relocated to § 42-4-1701. 2022 Ch. 361, was passed without a safety clause. See Colo. Const. art. V, § 1(3).
