Section 42-4-1704 - Offenses by persons controlling vehicles

It is unlawful for the owner or any other person employing or otherwise directing the driver of any vehicle to require or knowingly to permit the operation of such vehicle upon a highway in any manner contrary to law. Any person who violates any provision of this section commits a class 2 misdemeanor traffic offense.L. 94: Entire title amended with relocations, p. 2418, § 1, effective 1/1/1995.This section is similar to former § 42-4-1503 as it existed prior to 1994, and the former § 42-4-1704 was relocated to § 43-5-504.
