(1) By October 1, 2024, the executive director or the executive director's designee shall, in consultation with the chief of the Colorado state patrol, create a culturally and linguistically competent campaign raising public awareness of the requirements of section 42-4-239 and of the dangers of using mobile electronic devices when driving.(2) This section is repealed, effective July 1, 2025.Added by 2024 Ch. 431,§ 2, eff. 8/7/2024, app. to conduct occurring on or after 8/7/2024.Section 6(3) of chapter 431 (SB 24-065), Session Laws of Colorado 2024, provides that the act adding this section applies to conduct occurring on or after August 7, 2024.2024 Ch. 431, was passed without a safety clause.
