(1) In the event of a dispute between a motor vehicle dealer and a manufacturer under a franchise agreement, notwithstanding any provision of the agreement to the contrary:(a) At the option of the motor vehicle dealer, venue shall be proper in the county or judicial district where the dealer resides or has its principal place of business; and(b) Colorado law shall govern, both substantively and procedurally.Renumbered from C.R.S. § 12-6-122.5 and amended by 2018 Ch. 7, § 2, eff. 10/1/2018.L. 2018: Entire article added with relocations, (SB 18-030), ch. 7, p. 86, § 2, effective October 1.This section is similar to former § 12-6-122.5 as it existed prior to 2018.
