Added by 2024 Ch. 212,§ 5, eff. 5/20/2024, 2024 Ballot Proposition JJ passed by voters in 11/5/2024 election.Subsection (2) provided for the repeal of this section, effective January 1, 2025, if a majority of the electors voting in the November 5, 2024, election vote 'Yes/For' the ballot issue referred to the voters pursuant to § 44-30-1517 (2). The ballot issue specified in § 44-30-1517 (2) was referred to the registered electors as Proposition JJ on November 5, 2024.
