Colorado Legal Code
(1) The minimum wages fixed by the director, as provided in this article 6, are the minimum wages paid to the employees, and the payment to such employees of a wage less than the minimum so fixed is unlawful, and every employer or other person who intentionally, individually or as an officer, agent, or employee of a corporation or other person, pays or causes to be paid to any such employee a wage less than the minimum commits theft as defined in section 18-4-401.(2) For the purpose of this section, the amount of the theft is the unpaid balance of the full amount of the minimum wage, as described in section 8-6-118.Amended by 2019 Ch. 182,§ 4, eff. 1/1/2020.L. 17: p. 388, § 16.
