(a) On and after October 1, 2018, no quasi-public agency, as defined in section 1-120, shall make a payment in excess of fifty thousand dollars to an employee resigning or retiring from employment with such quasi-public agency for the purposes of avoiding costs associated with potential litigation or pursuant to a nondisparagement agreement.(b) No nondisparagement agreement or settlement agreement as described in subsection (a) of this section may prohibit an employee from making a complaint or providing information in accordance with section 4-61dd.(P.A. 18-137, S. 26.)See Sec. 4-40b re prohibition against certain payments to resigning or retiring state employees.
