If any provision of sections 1-266 to 1-286, inclusive, or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid or inconsistent with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 USC 7001 et seq., as from time to time amended, such invalidity or inconsistency does not affect other provisions or applications of sections 1-266 to 1-286, inclusive, which can be given effect without the invalid or inconsistent provision or application, and to this end the provisions of sections 1-266 to 1-286, inclusive, are severable.(P.A. 02-68, S. 20.)
