(a) For the school year commencing July 1, 2021, a local or regional board of education may offer the black and Latino studies course, approved pursuant to section 10-16tt, in grades nine to twelve, inclusive.(b) For the school year commencing July 1, 2022, and each school year thereafter, a local or regional board of education shall offer the black and Latino studies course, approved pursuant to section 10-16tt, in grades nine to twelve, inclusive.(P.A. 19-12, S. 4; June Sp.
