Any local or regional board of education may establish and maintain a program of courses of instruction during the summer months for school children on a voluntary basis and may charge for each child attending a reasonable fee not to exceed the cost of such program; except that such board of education may, in its discretion, waive such charge for any good and sufficient reason.(1961, P.A. 208; P.A. 78-218, S. 58.)History: P.A. 78-218 substituted 'any local or regional' board for the board 'of any town or regional school district'.
