For school building projects approved by the General Assembly after July 1, 1993, if state reimbursement pursuant to the provisions of this chapter or any special act, for the acquisition, purchase or construction of a building was for ninety-five or more per cent of the eligible costs of such acquisition, purchase or construction and such building ceases to be used for the purpose for which the grant was provided within twenty years of the date of approval by the General Assembly of the project, title to the building shall revert to the state unless the Commissioner of Administrative Services decides otherwise for good cause.(P.A. 93-353, S. 35, 52; P.A. 94-245, S. 32, 46; P.A. 08-169, S. 3; P.A. 24-151, S. 159.)History: P.A. 93-353 effective July 1, 1993; P.A. 94-245 made a technical change, effective June 2, 1994; P.A. 08-169 changed 'one hundred per cent' to 'ninety-five or more per cent', effective July 1, 2008; P.A. 24-151 replaced 'Commissioner of Education' with 'Commissioner of Administrative Services', effective July 1, 2024.
