Connecticut Title 13a — Connecticut law

The approaches to all drawbridges over which highways pass shall be provided, by the town or towns or owners of such bridges, with gates for the protection of travelers, subject to the approval of the selectmen of the town or towns in which such bridge or bridges may be located. Each bridge tender shall insure closure of such gates before the draw is opened.
