A peer-to-peer car sharing company is responsible for any equipment, such as a global positioning system, that is put in or on the shared vehicle to monitor or facilitate the car sharing transaction. The company shall indemnify and hold harmless the shared vehicle owner for any damage to or theft of such equipment during the car sharing period, unless caused by the vehicle owner.
