If a community antenna television company, as defined in section 16-1, reduces the programming selection of a basic or premium service package, without providing notice to the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, as required in section 16-333f, it shall provide customers with a credit for failing to provide the cable programming package or selection as advertised or represented to the customer. Such credit shall be equal to the pro rata cost to the subscriber of the programming removed from the basic or premium package and the amount of such credit shall be submitted to and approved by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and shall continue until such time as the company complies with statutory notice requirements.(P.A. 89-182, S. 4; P.A. 98-121, S. 13; P.A. 11-80, S. 1.)History: P.A. 98-121 made a technical change; pursuant to P.A. 11-80, 'Department of Public Utility Control' was changed editorially by the Revisors to 'Public Utilities Regulatory Authority', effective July 1, 2011.
