The Commissioner of Children and Families shall have the authority to certify providers of behavioral health Medicaid Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment Services and rehabilitation services for HUSKY A for the purpose of coverage of Medicaid Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment Services or optional rehabilitation services. The Commissioner of Children and Families may adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, for purposes of certification of such providers. The commissioner may implement policies and procedures for purposes of such certification while in the process of adopting such policies or procedures in regulation form, provided notice of intention to adopt the regulations is published on the department's Internet web site and the eRegulations System not later than twenty days after implementation and any such policies and procedures shall be valid until the time the regulations are effective.(P.A. 05-280, S. 102; June Sp.
