The Department of Social Services shall establish and administer a program of services for persons suffering from Huntington's disease. A clinic for such persons shall be geographically located so as to conveniently serve the population of the state. The clinic shall (1) provide genetic testing for persons who are at risk of acquiring Huntington's disease, (2) offer counseling to such persons who have tested positive for Huntington's disease and their families, and (3) offer medical care to such persons who are in the early phases of the disease. The clinic shall provide consulting services and continuing education for any health care provider providing services to persons suffering from Huntington's disease.(P.A. 97-264.)
