When any person supported at the expense of any town dies, leaving personal estate not exceeding fifty dollars in value, the selectmen of such town may sell it for the use of such town, unless some person interested in such estate takes out administration thereon within ninety days after such death.(1949 Rev., S. 2598.)History: Sec. 17-288 transferred to Sec. 17b-132 in 1995.
