The Commissioner of Social Services shall allow a minor who is a recipient of temporary family assistance to retain assets for future identifiable education expenses.(May Sp. Sess. Sess. P.A. 97-2 authorized a minor recipient of temporary family assistance to retain assets for education expenses and replaced aid to families with dependent children with temporary family assistance, effective July 1, 1997.
