§ 18-81i

(a) Any firearm, ammunition or deadly weapon owned by the Department of Correction shall be stored in a secure location on Department of Correction property.(b) The Commissioner of Correction shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, to implement the provisions of this section including, but not limited to, defining 'secure location'.(July Sp. (a) and amended it to replace requirement that any firearm, ammunition or deadly weapon 'only be stored in a secure location on the grounds of a correctional facility with a security rating of level three or higher' with requirement that any such weapon 'be stored in a secure location on Department of Correction property' and added Subsec. (b) re the adoption of regulations to implement section.
